French Polising
The polishing process plays an important role in the making of instruments. Because the polish not only protects the instrument against external factors but also affects its sound quality. Today, many varieties of polish are used in instruments. However, I prefer shellac polish which is the traditional handmade polish, especially on the soundboard of my ouds. In this way, not too much polish weight is added to the soundboard and with a very thin layer, a bright appearance and protection can be obtained. As a result, I think shellac polish has a positive effect on the sounds of the instruments.
